Sometimes I sleep in an extra 5 minutes, ok maybe 15 minutes, and sometimes I just want to cuddle! I love to cuddle! It gives me a moment to thank God for my many blessings, and to pause and remember what is truly important in my life.

Ok, after my moment of peace Iget up in a mini panic, I have now throws off my entire schedule! I love having breakfast with my family, honestly it is the best part of the day, but when we are in a rush, it needs to be quick, healthy, filling and easy!
I struggle to find green shakes that everyone will enjoy, something about them being green that bothers people. As if I would hide veggies in there 😉
Kale is great for aiding in digestion and elimination with its great fiber content. It’s also filled with so many nutrients, vitamins, folate and magnesium and other great vitamins listed here.
In a shake I always add something to replace the protein we are suppose to ingest in the am. I do not like protein powders…. maybe one day someone will change my mind, but for now, I prefer real food. So I use greek yogurt. My son hates nuts 😦 which makes it a little more complicated when preparing meals. However, for those of you who don’t have this problem, the shake can be modified to add almond milk, nut butter, etc.

This shake serves 2
Ingredients
- 1 cup of skim milk
- 1 cup of vanilla greek yogurt 0%
- 1 big handful of Kale (we grow our own)
- 2 bananas
- 1 cup of frozen strawberries
- 1 cup of frozen mangos
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract (we make our own that will be available on the site shortly)
